Original Designs

I come from a long line of very creative women.  As a child, I'd walk to my mom's craft store after school and sew, bead, draw, or just wander down the aisles and think about all the wonderful things I could make some day.  Mom closed the store when I was in junior high, but I still feel more at home in a craft store than almost anywhere else.

In high school I met a boy, joined the science club, and started to get really into computers.  I decided to major in computer science because programming is an amazing way to use technical tools in really interesting, creative ways.  I emphasized in user interface design because it appealed to my crafty side and let me talk to people instead of being squirreled away in front of a screen all day.

Unfortunately, I can't post most of my design work publicly because of confidentiality agreements with my employers, but I'm taking an initiative to do more design projects outside of work to build my portfolio.  These projects include print, apparel, and home decor.  Enjoy!
